MUSIC AND MOVEMENT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Orff Schulwerk Level 1: Autumn course: 13th – 18th April 2015 University of Waikato Hamilton Campus
Orff New Zealand Aotearoa is offering a 6-day Level 1 Orff Schulwerk course appropriate to the needs of both specialist and generalist teachers working in early childhood, primary, intermediate and lower secondary school settings.

This course, with an emphasis on hands-on interactive processes introduces the Orff approach which is characterised by the integration of speech, movement and music with a focus on improvisation.
‘The presenters brought a wealth of knowledge and experience of the Orff Schulwerk and delivered the course with energy and a sense of fun. They provided a learning context in which we were constantly involved in applying new ideas and exploring the principles of Orff Schulwerk through improvising, arranging, composing, and participating in ensemble work’.

Taken as a stand-alone Level 1 course successful completion of this workshop entitles participants to certification in Level 1 Orff Schulwerk.
